La Red Digital de Servicios Integrados para Estaciones Móviles (MSISDN) es el número de teléfono estructurado según el plan de numeración de la Recomendación UIT-T E.164 que se asigna a un usuario móvil. Este número telefónico permite a cualquier abonado de la red telefónica tradicional llamar a una estación móvil. Está compuesto por el código de país y el código nacional de destino. 

Eso es:

MSISDN = CC + NDC + SN 

  • CC = Código de país

  • NDC = Código Nacional de Destino (identifica uno o parte de un PLMN)

  • SN = Número de abonado.

La longitud máxima de un MSISDN a 15 dígitos. Se reservan de 1 a 3 dígitos para el código de país.

La diferencia entre el IMSI y el MSISDN es que el IMSI se utiliza para que el operador identifique al abonado. Mientras que el MSISDN es el número que se utiliza para marcar. Así, cuando llamamos a un teléfono móvil, es el número MSISDN del móvil al que llamamos, no el IMSI.
